This is a great active product for children over the age of six. You separate the spinner arrow from the base and assemble the spinner. You spread the mat face down. The mat is 5-1/2 feet x 4-1/2 feet wide. The game mat is made of vinyl so it holds up indoors or outdoors. Take off your shoes to play. One person is referee. Two to four players face each other opposite ends of the mat near the word Twister. They place one foot on the yellow circle and the other foot on the blue circle. The opponent does the same. The referee spins the spinner and calls out the body part and the color that the arrow points to. For example, right hand, red.

At the same time, you must follow the directions. Each player must try to place the called out body part on a vacant circle of the called-out color. There can never be more than one hand or foot on any one circle. You do not lift your hand or foot from the circle unless you are directed to by the referee. Any player who falls or touches the mat with elbow or knee is out of the game.

This game can be played with teams, it can be played with no referee, and played in some other different forms with more players. It is a fun action activity. When Twister came out in 1966 the price was $6. Today the average price is $14.99. Over 19 million Twister games have been sold.

On May 2, 1987, the University of Massachusetts set the Guinness World Record for the largest Twister game with 4,160 students playing the game at one time. Millions have played the game and it is enjoyed everywhere.
