I am looking for two teams for the tudor electric football game: the Seattle Seahawks and the Greenbay Packers. Thanks, Ruthie.

GAME - BOARD - TUDOR NFL ELECTRIC FOOTBALL

I recently found my old TUDOR NFL Electric Football Game in my parents' attic. It was purchased in the early 1970's. I was looking for replacement parts or pieces. The football players were painted with the team colors of the 49ers and Rams. It also had a quarterback that passed and kicked a foam-like football. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. The motor to the field still works, but there is no clock parts, field goals, flags, down markers, or even the grandstand cutouts. If I could find just some more players, especially one of those quarterbacks. Thanks for any help, Mike.

Anyway, I can't seem to find a date on the box or the game. I have even searched through EBAY.COM at auctions to find any information, but couldn't; all of the antique tudor Electric Football Games being auctioned were not the same model as the one I have. All of the ones on auction were in a white and red-trimmed box, while the one I have is green. I can give you more information about the one I have, but maybe the fact that it is green (unlike the others) will help you out. I thank you very much in advance for any information you can provide me with. Thank you.

GAME - BOARD GAME

What was a game in the mid-1970's which was a box about 8x6 and with a whole to place a hand in (rubber around the whole) and grab various items. Before you pulled the item out of the box you had to guess what the item was. You scored if you guessed it correctly. Or maybe you had to describe and others had to guess what it was. Not sure.

GAME - BOARD GAME - MILITARY

During the 1960's (or early 1970's) my older brother had a military themed board game which I remember playing, but can not recall the name. I asked him recently & he seemed to recall it being "battleship". I checked on it, and although close in appearance, it wasn't the same one he had. It was set up the same way with a vertical board between each player. A player had to move a grey(?) board piece with a magnetic bottom (shaped like a tank or fighter plane)across the board hoping to land on a circular spot which would then knock the other players piece off. I wish I could remember the name as I would like to find one online for my brothers next birthday (the game was a favorite of us both). Any idea to what it is called? Thanks for your time. Paul.

GAME - BUCKAROO - VALUE

GAME - BUCKAROO - VALUE - RESPONSE

I purchased one on an internet web site for $20.00 + shipping. However, it will not lock down for play. I'm wondering if it is missing a part or if a part is out of place. If you have time to scan the interior of your mule on both sides, this would certainly help me in finding out what might be wrong. Thank you. Vince.

GAME - CAT IN THE BAG

I am looking for a game I had in the 1970's. I think the name was "cat in the bag". Somebody told me they thought Schaper made the game...yet I have not come across it in my research. The object was not to let the cat out of the bag. It was a hard plastic bag with a plastic cat pushed down inside (on a spring). The bag was surrounded by tiny levers that looked like claws. The players took turns lifting up a claw, but only one claw released the cat. The cat would then jump out of the bag, like a jack in the box. I have been looking for this game for months and I've only come across one other person who has heard of the game.

GAME - HANDHELD WATER GAME

I am prompted to find this toy by a dream I had. I played with these toys around 1980 - 1985. They were hand held games (not electronic) that were filled with water. They came in a variety of different types. One game had a button that you would press to force air into the water. Using the water currents you tried to get rings to float in the water over to, and around a pole. I am looking for hand held games similar to these.

Then each player takes turns removing one block from the tower from any layer but the top one without causing the tower to tumble. Whoever causes the tower to fall is the loser and must reset the blocks for the next game.

GAME - MARBLe tOWER GAME

I am trying to find the name of a marble game I owned in the late 1970's- early 1980's. The game consisted of a cylindrical plastic tower(striped in orange and yellow) that stood on an orange plastic base. There were equal numbers of black and white plastic marbles and one red marble. The marbles were fed into the holes at the top of the tower. On your turn, you would twist the yellow rings of the tower a number of times until some marbles fell into the tray. You would receive 1 point for the black marbles and 5 points for the white. The red was worth 10 points or it meant that you lost the game (I forget). The entire game stood about 11 inches tall. My folks and I have been trying to find this game for years. Anyone know or remember what I'm talking about?

GAME - PADDLE POOL - 1970's

There was a game that came out in the late 1970's called Paddle Pool. I think it was made by Milton Bradley. A ping pong ball is launched gentle toward a pocket in a table-top plastic box and 4 people operate paddles in an attempt to keep the ball out of their own pocket. The game makes me laugh every time I play it! Three year olds might feel better wearing plastic goggles because sometimes the ping pong ball flies high and hits people in the face! (It doesn't hurt though). The game hasn't been made for many years as far as I know. I found one on e-bay for $98 and sometimes I can find them at yard sales, but rarely with all the parts in-tact.

Thanks Regina.

GAME - TRACKBALL

I am looking for an outdoor game called Trackball. It is played with two spoon-like rackets for throwing Styrofoam or plastic balls. With a little practice, you can arc the ball (especially Styrofoam ones) around trees, people, etc. If you know the name of the company that made it, that would be helpful. When I search the internet, I get responses for computer trackballs (and they're no fun). Thanks, Bill.

GAME - TRACKBALL - RESPONSE

I've been looking for this game since vacation last year. These new scoop and throw games are too cheap to last more than ten minutes and aren't much fun at all. I thought it was track ball as well. After sifting through thousands of mouse and computer track ball sites, I stumbled across TRAC BALL by Wham-O. Hundreds of sites I was looking for after that. I'm not sure where you're from. In the U.S. It is easy, just go to K-mart. In Canada, I've just ordered 2 from www.wrightlife.com for $11.95 each (plus $6.50 for shipping). I couldn't find any stores that carried track ball that I could walk into and buy. I hope this was helpful. Good luck, Steve.

There was also garden furniture, such as pergolas and chairs, and even garden tools. I doubt this is still manufactured, but any information would be welcome. Thank you, Judi.

GRANDFATHER TIME - BEDTIME STORY -1980's

Do you know of the clock or a similar clock that will tell a short story each night to a child? Thanks! Alan & Gina.

GREEN DRAGON WITH STAR ON ITS TAIL

I am desperately searching for this stuffed, pale green, dragon/dinosaur-like character, with a star on the end of his tail, he comes from a Scholastic children's book by Lisa Werenko. I had purchased this toy about five years ago for my son. He loved this toy - it went to the hospital with him for surgery, also wore a wrist band like his. He slept with it, cried with it. We lost it in a fire less than a year ago. He keeps asking for another one, but I cannot find it anywhere. Have you any sources who may perhaps know if I can purchase one somewhere, somehow? Is there a place were all discontinued stuffed animals go, or leftovers that were never sold? I'm pretty certain they don't make them currently. I had originally purchased it at Hess Dept. Store, which has since gone out of business. It was in the infant/toddler section at the time, with children's clothing. If I can give anymore information, please just tell me. I greatly appreciate your help in this matter, and thank you sincerely for even reading this note! It would be such a wonderful surprise to have it for him on Christmas, but if that's not possible, I think he'd be happy getting it even someday...perhaps even for his twenty-first birthday! He's only eight now. He actually has a picture of this silly thing sitting on his dresser. Thanks again!

GREEN DRAGON WITH STAR ON ITS TAIL - RESPONSE

I think the dinosaur and book is called It Zwibble the Star Touched Dinosaur. You can search for "It Zwibble" on . That should link to a video that has a picture of It Zwibble. The It Zwibble books were written by Werenko and published by Scholastic. Tom Ross, who co-created the character, and is an accomplished artist, illustrated the books. Ross co-owns The Hahn Ross Gallery in Santa Fe, NM. Kathy J.

Where I can purchase a toy skeet shooter online? I saw one locally recently at a Target store. It was approximately $65 - $100. It projected a variety of animals on the wall. GUN - SYSTEM 7 (?)

In the mid to late 1970's there was a toy gun called a System 7. It fired discs, launched a mini-parachute with a message attached to it, and did several other things that I can't remember. HELICOPTER

What's the name of the 1970's toy helicopter that allowed you to control both its forward and backward movement, as well as its altitude? One set had an arctic theme, another, a Highway Patrol theme. The objective was to pick up the bad guy's car or drop a roadblock. Where might I find one? Will it be expensive?

HELICOPTER

I saw a small toy helicopter around 2001. It was small, about 4 to 6 inches long. You launch it from a base that housed the batteries and rotated the blades. The longer you held the launch button down, the faster the blades would spin. When button was released, the helicopter would launch and fly for a short distance, from a few inches to a few feet. Object was to try to land it on a small target ot landing pad. It looked like a office/desk toy. Would like to locate and purchase one. Any help would be appreciated.

HELICOPTER

Is there a decent flying helicopter toy for a six year old, not a cheap one which would break easily? One with a radio control radius of 200 feet would be ideal. I saw one with a man in it that could parachute, but that one had no control and flew on it's own. Christa.

HELICOPTER - 1

I am looking for a toy helicopter from the 1970's. It was a plastic, battery operated helicopter that flew around on a wire attached to a base. From the base a wire ran to a control panel, which consisted of two levers - one to control the forward speed, and one to control the vertical ascent. It had a hook that hung from the helicopter, allowing you to pick up the plastic cargo and people that came with the set. Alison.

HELICOPTER - 2

A few years ago, my son and I saw a toy set. I don't remember the name or who made it. It was a helicopter play set. The helicopter flew around in circles on a metal wire around a base. With a connecting control, you could make it hover, fly backwards and fly up and down. You could also pick up little men and other items. It may have been a Micro Machine set. I had one when I was boy and loved it. Thank you, Ty.

HELICOPTER - 3

I am searching for a battery powered helicopter toy that I had in the late 1950's to early 1960's. The helicopter was attached by wire and flew around a pedestal that sat upon a paper map. HELICOPTER, BATTERY POWERED

I am looking for a toy helicopter that I had as a child. It had something to do with rescue. The helicopter had a battery remote with "C" cells (like a small flashlight) and the rotor blades were small. The helicopter motor drove the blades slowly, but the copter "flew" suspended on a tight string tied at four corners, much like a cable car. When the copter reached a corner, a sprocket on the drive wheel turned the copter, and it continued around the course. Circa 1971-1972.

HULA HOOPS - RESPONSE - DR. TOY

I would suggest you check a local toy store, Toys R Us usually carries them. We will also post on Ask Dr. Toy, and see what we can find. About a year ago as part of our activities at the San Francisco Toy Museum, we provided a special event in honor of a child shot and killed by police, because he had a toy gun in his hand and he did not stop when told to (he was developmentally disabled as it turned out). We traded hula hoops for toy guns and found the kids really were a lot happier and more playful and they got great exercise. Use the Hula Hoops while watching television for indoor exercise.

Where can I find Humdinger? It is a wooden freeform toy. Thank you, Robin.

ICE BIRD

I bought my daughter an Ice Bird (I'm fairly sure that was the name of it) in the late 1970's. It was a shaved ice toy, shaped like a bird or duck. I sold it at a garage sale when we moved, and she has never let me forget it. Where can I find one? Ruth.
