I found your website while searching the internet trying to find out about an old baby doll my sister had as a child. I'm trying to find one to give her for her birthday. She got this doll on Christmas, 1954. She got one with blue clothes, my other sister got one in pink. I've attached the only pictures I have of the dolls. They're not too clear, since they're copies of old slides my dad took of us as kids.
I've been searching for several months, trying to find anything out about this doll, but haven't had any luck. I've gone to a few doll repair places, Hello Dolly in Campbell and a couple other private folks, but they don't know either.
I really want to find one to give to my sister for her birthday this year, or if I can't find it in time, for Christmas. My sister just lost her husband on Easter Sunday. He passed away in the hospital after a long battle with cancer the past two years, and her son is being deployed to Iraq in August, so I'm trying to find some little bit of joy for her to hold on to. She mentioned to me this past Christmas how much she loved this doll she had, so my search began.
I'm hoping you might know what this doll is or can give me some idea on what it might be.
I appreciate any help at all!
