The mission: travel with a two-man crew into the deepest jungle to capture a ferocious dinosaur. The equipment: a huge mega rig loaded up with tools and weapons that can take the beast down. The prehistoric-looking rig requires all 26 of the model's pieces to construct but can also be broken down and transformed into 30 other vehicles, including a pair of exploratory SUVs, a jungle crawler, a tandem flatbed, a tow truck with helipad, and dozens of other possibilities. The rig has a working missile launcher that mounts to the top of any configured vehicle. The equipment also features a paleocopter that, when combined with the working winch and capture claw, can catch the dinosaur from the air. In an effort to scare his captors away, the Tyrannosaurus rex model opens his jaws and emits a fierce roar when kids pull the lever on his back. A smaller newly-hatched T. rex offers a second capturing challenge. The dinosaur requires three button cell batteries (included) to power the sound effects. /I>

Imagination and much more:
We bought the Matchbox Dino Adventure for our son's 5th birthday and he has enjoyed it for weeks. He is a very active and imaginative boy who loves dinosaurs and trucks. This toy allows him to build and rebuild the vehicle in many idfferent ways keeping the toy fresh, exciting and challenging for him. He tends to be very hard on toys, but this one is lasting and durable. For parents, the dino "roar" is not very loud like other otys and is not at all bothersome. The only problem is that he and his 3 year old...
much better than I expected:
I had seen a review in a magazine that gave this set high marks, but I didn't think it looked like much fun from the box. I was WRONG! My six year old LOVES it. We have to tear him away from it. He just loves making different combinations of the vehicles. The parts the interchange fit together so easily! No fussing or whining from my son like with other toys. Just "hey look at this new truck..." Now he wants a second set. I highly recommend this toy. It is so much more than what it looks like by the box.
Great Toy!:
My 4 year old son absolutely loves this toy. It was well worth the money. They day we got it, he played with it all afternoon into the evening. He really enjoys making the different vehicles.
